Donations can be placed in the wooden bins under the Mission board in the Gathering Space at Cedar Hills Community Church. Give a financial donation online by choosing “Open Hands Food Pantry” from the funds list on the church’s giving page.
REQUIREMENTS
There are no income requirements to visit our pantry. If you’re in need of food, you are welcome. You can visit two times per calendar month. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. USDA Nondiscrimination Statement
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Food provided is about 3 days worth and is based on family size. We are blessed with a great partnership with local stores like Hy-Vee who regularly donate delicious bread and baked goods to our pantry. Many donations also come from within the Cedar Hills congregation, neighboring churches and our partnerships with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
VOLUNTEERS
Interested in volunteering? The pantry is always in need of help to pack grocery bags, assist with the check-in process, and also pick up larger shipments of food when they become available. If this is something that interests you, please contact the office.
