A sermon series beginning March 6, 2022. Sundays at 8:30am and 11am

We’ll be looking at the “7 Deadly Sins” and why they have such a powerful hook into God’s people – and how to combat them! In Christ, we have VICTORY! Amen!

Sunday classes will continue at 9:45am in between services.  Nursery is available for ages 0-36mo at both services, and Children’s Worship is at 11am for ages 3 to 3rd grade.

Small groups are meeting throughout the weeks of Lent. The videos for small groups are here.

Ash Wednesday 2022

Our Ash Wednesday worship service is March 2, 2022 at 6:30pm.  A dinner is provided beforehand 5:15-6:15pm.  An RSVP is helpful, but not required. (Call the office 396-6608)

Nursery (ages 0-36mo) and children’s worship (ages 3-3rd grade) will be available starting at 6:15pm.  Children are always welcome to stay with their families in the service as well.

Come, receive the ashes, and enter into this Lenten season of reflection as we await Easter Sunday together.

Pure Gold

in 2022, will be focusing on memorizing scripture. The sermon series will explore why this is an important habit for Christians. Our goal is to memorize two short Bible verses every week and have 100 memorized by the end of the year.

if you’d like to start memorizing your scripture verses, here’s a document with the layout of the year, and also a link to YouTube where our Worship Director has set everything to music.

Enter the Nativity

“Enter the Nativity” – a new 5-week series begins Sunday, Nov. 28.  This series covers the season of Advent (the 4-week preparation for Christmas), Christmas Eve, and the Sunday after Christmas.

We will look at the different characters of the Christmas story – Joseph, Mary, the shepherds, the angels, Jesus and the Magi and discover together the grand invitation we each are extended to come and behold the Messiah.

We worship on Sundays at 8:30am and 11am, with classes for all ages in between services at 9:45am.  More About Worship

Christmas Eve services will be held Dec. 24 at 3pm, 5pm & 7pm.  The 5pm services will also be live on Facebook.  Nursery care for ages 0-36mo provided at 3 & 5pm.  More about Christmas Eve.

Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army

Only two shifts left to fill!

The 7-8pm shift is open at both locations!
See link to online sign-up below.

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGERS – Over the next six weeks, Salvation Army will work to raise more than half its operating budget for the upcoming year. These funds will show the love of Jesus through feeding the hungry, keeping families in their homes and providing critical youth services. Cedar Hills has a long history of supporting the Salvation Army’s ministry in Linn County.

Again this year, you can help by taking a bell ringing shift.

This year, we’re ringing the bells at the Johnson Ave Hy-Vee and 16th Avenue Fareway from 10am to 8pm on Saturday, December 4.  You can sign up today or next Sunday in the Gathering Space, or go to RegisterToRing.com and search for the group code “CHCC” to signup online. If that date doesn’t work, reach out to Scott Drzycimski (319-540-2356) to get a time slot that works for you.

Pro tip: This is a great way for your small group to serve together.
