ANNOUNCEMENTS

BAPTISM – Today in the second service, the youngest daughter of Ryan and Katie Deerberg, Lainey Kae will be baptized. Lainey’s big sister is Hadley, and her Godparents are Aubrey Keilbach and Josh Gerke.

JOURNEY FUNDRAISER – Our Journey youth are partnering with Pasta of the Prairie, a small business within our church for a fundraiser! Place an order for delicious pasta, meal kits and soup mixes. Orders can be picked up at church Dec 7. 40% of the proceeds will go to support our youth and the different camps and conferences they attend each year. ORDER ONLINE At check-out, choose “fundraiser pickup” and select “this order is for a fundraiser” to type in “Journey Youth”.

ANGEL TREE CHRISTMAS GIFTS – Show Jesus’ love to area families and children who are experiencing the consequences of incarceration this holiday season. Take an angel tag off the tree in the Gathering Space, purchase the item listed, then return it to church unwrapped by December 7. You can also support the Angel Tree families through helping with the wrapping party or Christmas party. More details to come.

OPEN HANDS FOOD PANTRY – 24 Days of Christmas: Each day Dec. 1-24 pick an item from the pantries ‘most-needed’ list and place it in a grocery bag to return to the pantry with the quick prayer: “Lord, bless whoever eats this food with the presence of Jesus.” VIEW FULL LIST Paper copies available at the Welcome Center.

BUILDING OUR FUTURE FUND – At our annual meeting, the Deacons announced the Building Our Future Fund to help us steward the resources God has given us to do ministry. Building Our Future Fund is now available to select in the pull-down menu with online Giving. These gifts, above and beyond our regular offerings, will be used to complete vital projects inside and out of our building. One of our first needs is to resurface the parking lot. Your generous contributions to the Building Our Future Fund will allow us to reach our goals. This is a great opportunity for your special year-end gifts.

AWAY IN A MANAGER – You are invited to the Noah’s Ark Preschool Christmas Programs on Wednesday, December 17 at 9:15am and 10:15am in the Worship Center.

CEDAR KIDS CLUB HOUSE – Sunday, December 14, kindergarten through 5th grade children are invited to join the fun after the second service, 12pm-2pm. This includes lunch, large group and small group. Normally, the group meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Register Online.

ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT – Join the women of Cedar Hills December 7 at 4pm with a special presentation of “A Night of Worship” at Advent By Candlelight. Enjoy beautifully decorated tables, worship, guest speaker, reflection, and connection as we prepare our hearts for the season of Advent. Registration is highly encouraged so we can save you a seat! PARKINSON’S & DEMENTIA SUPPORT GROUP – If you have a friend or loved one with dementia or Parkinson’s, we have a new support group. Next meeting is Dec 4, 6:30-7:30pm.
